Overall scam Rank: 6.0/10
Verdict: Legitimate, Recommend for an Extra Cash
YouGov Surveys UK Review- A Brief Overview
YouGov is an online survey site where people share their opinions and can take paid surveys. The platform consists of a global community of individuals that give their views regarding current events and ongoing controversial issues.
The platform is much like others cash and reward sites:
All information collected through the polls done by YouGov surveys UK is accumulated into statistics before being published on their website every day. Besides giving people a stage to air their opinions on current affairs, YouGov surveys UK also gives full-length surveys for which people earn points.
The online research firm was started in 2000 in the UK and is currently headquartered there. Besides Europe, YouGov surveys UK works in various other bases including North America, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East.
But is YouGov surveys UK scam or legitimate? Since its inception, the site has garnered the reputation of being one of the genuine survey sites available today.
Current there are 4 million registered users so I would recommend anyone looking to express their opinion and earn some extra cash to join it.
Did you know you can make more money by taking surveys, completing offers, watching videos, plus so much more at Swagbuck.com and Fussioncash.com.
If you’re looking for making part or full-time income, I suggest you check out my no.1 recommendation.

What I Like About YouGov Survey UK
One of the things I find most impressive about YouGov.com is its minimalist design. The site’s simplicity makes it incredibly easy to follow.
The entire signing process takes no more than five minutes. To add to that, YouGov makes it very clear why your information is necessary and how it is going to be used.
I also like the fact that the site works perfectly on mobile devices too so you can use it on the go. In fact, there is a free mobile app for the website on Google Play and the App Store for you to download.
Moreover, YouGov offers you the opportunity to express what you think about issues, and this information matters as it finally reaches the governments and corporations you are talking about.
Again, the rewards you get from conducting surveys are decent in relation to the time you spend doing them.
Finally, YouGov rarely ever sends surveys that you are unqualified for.
What I Don’t Like About YouGov Survey UK
Like all other online survey sites, YouGov does have its failings too.
I find that the amount of time it takes for one to rack up points on the site, considerably longer. Also, the site does not provide other ways for members to earn income aside from completing surveys.
The number of surveys available for one to do is also too small, averaging one per day, and paying no more than 500 points.
Lastly, the worth of their points, when compared to other online paid survey sites such as Swagbucks.com, is much lower.
Who it is for
YouGov.com is available in most countries around the globe. Anyone can join, provided they meet the age specifications stipulated in their nation.
You can check the information about your country’s age restrictions by visiting your local YouGov site. Each nation has specific panels, so you can expect surveys to be in your local language.
Also, expect most of the surveys to be about things that are relevant to your country.
How Does YouGov Survey UK Work?
Once you log into the YouGov website, you will be directed to a simple sign up process. All you need to do is fill in your email and password. Once you have become a member, you’ll be prompted to take the first survey.
For this survey, you are awarded 2,000 points. The first survey is meant to flesh out a member’s profile. You’ll be asked questions about race, date of birth, gender, and so on. YouGov tells you why this all of this information is essential.
For every full-length survey you take from this point on, you will be awarded more points. YouGov sends you an email with a link to the survey you need to take.
Here’s a Quick Video on Yougov Survey UK.
You can view the reward and the time the survey is estimated to take and decide whether you want to take it or not. The average survey takes between 5-15 minutes, which is not a lot of time if you have the time to spare. If you take the survey, you immediately get points.
You can exchange the points you earn for a variety of rewards, depending on the country you reside in. In many countries, you are allowed to exchange points only for gift cards or products.
What I like about this option is that the products you can exchange the points for are quite great. Other countries allow you to get paid in cash through prepaid visa cards or PayPal.
I personally prefer this option than the first one because it gives me the freedom to spend my money in the manner I want.
A third way to use your points is by participating in the YouGov lottery that’s available in some countries. You can win pretty big prizes if you are lucky.
As soon as you have finished a survey, you are directed to YouGov website to view the amount of points you have just made, and the cumulative amount thus far.
I think it’s a good thing that YouGov have options for their reward program. Whether these options are compatible with your preferences depends on the country you live in.
Of course, you will not get rich participating in YouGov surveys, but it’s a good thing to know that the surveys they send on your email are quite easy and the topics rather interesting.
You can apply for the YouGov affiliate program and earn more money per lead. What you need to do is refer your friends to their sire and earn points for each friend that signs up and completes three surveys.
For every three surveys they’ve completed, you’ll be awarded 4,000 points. Experienced affiliate marketers can make a few dollars for each lead.
Does YouGov Surveys UK Offer Any Help When You Need It?
YouGov provides constant support to all of its members. Panelists can be reached through a phone number provided at your local YouGov website. If you would like to inquire about YouGov’s products and services, you can send an email.
For members with security issues or who want to report any issues about their accounts such as suspected fraud or login issues, help is available at firstname.lastname@example.org. I find this dedication to customers another plus for the website.
How Do You Get Paid?
YouGov’s points can be exchanged for gift cards for numerous brands such as VISA, Walmart, Amazon, Best Buy, and iTunes. If you have 35,000 points, you can redeem them for an Amazon gift card worth $15.
In my experience, this is much lower compared to other paid survey sites such as Swagbucks.com where with 2, 200 points you can get a $25 Amazon gift card. Plus it takes much longer and more effort to earn 35,000 points on YouGov.
Here’s My Final Opinion On YouGov Surveys UK
So is it worth your time to join YouGov? Well, there are some pretty great benefits when it comes to the website.
I find the fact that the site is legitimate to be quite impressive, given the number of sites that scam people out there. That the site is always readily available to its users is also very commendable.
I also find the fact that YouGov is very committed to protect its user’s information and never to edit, disclose or share it with any third parties very assuring.
And since the site is presented as a place for people to voice their opinions, the opportunity to earn some cash by being a member is a bonus. If these things that appeal to you, then YouGov is definitely for you.
If, however, you are looking for a paid survey website that provides a myriad of options to rack up points of other rewards, then I would advise you to check out other sites.
The occasional survey that YouGov.com sends, coupled with the high number of points you must garner to earn any actual reward makes YouGov.com unviable for people looking to make wealth from paid surveys.

Hey Maun, thank you for a great review of YouGov surveys.
I had come across this site some time ago and felt the rewards were too low in my opinion.
Like you I too feel Swagbucks offers much more than YouGov and that is worth considering by anyone who is looking for survey sites.
You have a great site… keep up the good work!
Agree, the rewards are too low. Paid and reward sites are just for side money. It is hardly to make a full-time income. If you are serious about making part or full-time income you should look into affiliate marketing.
All the best!
I never have used surveys for an income and I was not aware about YouGov.
As far as I can see, the conversion value between points and money is low. Can one make a stable income only from taking surveys?
It is quite hard to earn consistent income from taking surveys. It not worth your effort since most of the surveys sites are paying too low. If you are serious about making part or full-time income you’d look for something else.
Have a nice day!
Hi Maun, thanks for sharing this full review. I like to do surveys and GPT tasks from time to time and have heard about YouGov but never got round to joining. Your review was very helpful and has given me a better idea about YouGov and how it works.
I know I won’t make tons of money with this site, but it’s nice to see that it cares about its users’ privacy etc, and it’s a site that actually pays its members. I think I might give it a go now, and use it as an extra way to supplement my income.
Doing survey won’t bring you tons of money. However, if you work hard at it you can make some money.
All the best!
