Today, we are going to review another training program that claims to make its user $1800/day. It’s a pretty outrageous claim, I should say.
We are going to check if it’s indeed a true claim, or at least close to it. Because as I’ve said, it’s an outrageous claim and without proof to back it up, these are just words. And without proof, I would be inclined to straight up call this program a scam.
So without further ado, let’s dive into my review of the Silk Road Effect. Does it really deliver on its ridiculous promise?
What is Silk Road Effect?
I just happened to come across this product while looking for a new product to promote on my review website. It caught my eye as I was scrolling because of the huge claim it posted on the marketplace. A $1,800/day claim is nothing to scoff at, and to be perfectly honest, even a slice of that would be awesome, of course, if it’s indeed true, that is.
I’ve been reviewing affiliate products for several years now and one thing is for certain, a claim as big as this will need serious proof. I’ve been using affiliate programs long enough to be able to discern which products are good or bad. A quick look, I can almost say within 80% certainty, if a product is a scam or not. But let’s not be hasty now. I won’t actually pass judgment on this product NOW. First, we’re going to look into the facts then I’m going to let you know if this is indeed a scam or not.
Just like any other affiliate program, you earn by sending leads to the affiliate links they give you. You don’t actually earn for every lead that you send, per se. Instead, when one of the leads who came from your affiliate link buys something, or subscribe to the program, you get a commission.
How Does It Work?
The Silk Road Effect claims that you can make money in just a few clicks. In my experience, simple yet ridiculous claims like these are red flags. Their main aim is to appeal to desperate people, hoping to get their money. While it’s true that you can make money online, it’s not as easy as it seems, like what this product would have you believe.
If you want to earn money online, there are plenty of ways to do it. Of course, affiliate marketing is a legit option but a huge chunk of marketing programs today doesn’t offer much value. Many of these products just leave out their users once they collected their money. For instance, many programs today are priced ~$50. That isn’t a lot of money but if you consider hundreds of people signing up every day, it would add up substantially.
Now you see why there are so many affiliate marketing scams out there. They are trying to get a piece of the pie, but without investing much thought into it. You need to spot a good affiliate marketing company before you even consider paying for it.
Can You Really Make Money Using The Silk Road Effect?
In case you haven’t heard of Silk Road (not this product), but the actual Silk Road ancient trade route, let me summarize it quickly. The Silk Road was an ancient network of trade routes that basically connected the East and West. Throughout these routes are merchants looking to trade goods to bring home to their countries. It is probably the biggest trading route in the ancient world.
This is where the Silk Road Effect got its name, and I must say that if this company’s goal is to mimic, it be quite a task. The Silk Road Effect program is about selling products from the Far East to the West for a hefty profit. The main reason why they can sell high and buy low is the difference in labor fees around the world, mostly East and West. In the East, labor is cheap and producing a product doesn’t cost that much.
The Silk Road Effect program works by selling on Amazon and eBay products made in the East, mostly in China. Dropshipping is the primary selling method they are using. Drop shipping is a retail shipping method where one company act as a middleman, where it would purchase the order from a third party vendor. The vendor then sends the product directly to the buyer and the middleman would get a cut. This cuts out the need for a warehouse to store items in. This is just basically passing the message, or in this case, order.
Pros of The Silk Road Effect
Obviously, there’s a lot of money to be earned for drop shippers. The Silk Road Effect aims to be just that and it needs your help in order to stand a chance to make it big. If they manage to strike it lucky and you’re one of the active members who made it possible, there’s a chance that you will be rewarded.
To be honest, I can only think so much good thing about this product. The fact of the matter is, there’s very limited information about this product, whether you are a member or not. We know for sure that you can get your money back guarantee in 60 days if you are not satisfied with the product. I can definitely say that it is an advantage but that’s not saying much.

Cons of The Silk Road Effect
The first thing you will notice when you become a member is the upsells. Let me tell you now, there are a lot of upsells in this program. The initial cost is just $17 but that could double, triple or even quadruple if you give in to the upsells. And the worst part about it is some of the better features of the program are tucked away in their upsells, meaning that getting the basic program will only give you the most basic features. Sooner or later, you will be reaching for your wallet because you want an additional feature – and that’s a sign of a badly designed product.
Another thing, if you go ahead and buy their product, what you will get are a lot more questions than answers. The videos actually don’t tell you anything on how you make your money and they sort of just expect you to buy the program and forget about it. The videos are very vague and can be used by another similar company without anyone noticing. For all intents and purposes, it’s an eCommerce site but their membership dashboard doesn’t seem to show that.
Another big red flag is the apparent lack of information about the owner of the program. A good affiliate marketing product will have their owners actually proud of the program they build. Legit ones usually have their owners listed on the about page and you can even find them on LinkedIn if you were so inclined.
Comparing The Silk Road Effect With Another Product
To give you an even clearer idea of the capabilities of this product, we should compare it to my #1 rated program.

You must already know what the verdict is – it’s a SCAM.
There are many tells that clearly shows that this company is just out to get your money. The first thing you will notice is the $1,800 a day claim. A good affiliate marketing program will not claim that outrageous of a number. A good company will give you an idea of how much you can make, or what is the potential income but won’t actually promise you guaranteed money from the get-go. Companies that promise instant money, and make it seem like their program is full on auto is not a good company, full stop.
Rather than waste your time checking out this scam company, you should just check out other companies out there. Luckily for you, there are still any legit companies out there. Not much, I’m going to tell you now, but they’re there. All you have to do is look.
