What is Salehoo?

Based in New Zealand, Salehoo was founded in 2005 by Simon Slade and Mark Ling. The idea to start Salehoo was conceptualized by Simon Slade, a former online retailer at TradeMe – a local auction website.

The idea came about after he found it difficult to locate wholesalers, drop shippers, and suppliers providing real wholesale prices.

That is not all. Simon Slade could not find suppliers ready to work with a new business, suppliers who are ready to offer low or no minimum orders and suppliers who are legitimate.

Faced with the challenges above and more, he met with Mark Ling. Mark Ling is an internet entrepreneur and he is also the owner of Affilorama, Jamorama, and Rock Piano. Simon Slade teamed up with Mark Ling and they both co-founded Salehoo.

Today, Salehoo has 8,000+ trusted wholesalers and dropship suppliers, 1.6+ million branded products and 24/7 customer support and free training for new and upcoming retailers.

Here’s a Quick Video on Salehoo.

Cons

Here is what I did not like about Salehoo.

    • The number of products listed is less than what is offered by other major supplier directories
    • Although the annual subscription gives you one-year full access to Salehoo and its services, it would be much better if they offered monthly or lifetime memberships.
    • It’s a bit expensive especially for upcoming sellers
    • Not many suppliers are available on Salehoo compared to others platforms

Is Salehoo ripoff a reality? No, it’s not. It’s actually a genuine directory of drop shippers and wholesalers based in New Zealand.

At the time of this review, Salehoo has received 4.98 out of 5 stars based on 43 customers review and a Better Business Bureau rating of A+. Receiving an A+ from BBB is a sign of a very trustworthy company.

How is the Training Like?

Interested in learning how to source products from suppliers, how to choose the right supplier or how to import and ship products to customers? Well, Salehoo offers a world-class education to new and upcoming retailers.

What I found out is that interested parties can learn how to start an online drop shipping business, how to source products, how to find a supplier, how to import and ship products to customers.

To help users gain knowledge and start their online retail business, Salehoo experts have made available educational content in form of video tutorials, e-commerce glossary, and online selling guides.

Do Simon and Mark Offer Any Help When You Need It?

I checked out Salehoo and found that they offer unlimited one-on-one support to their users. According to Salehoo review, users can contact customer support via email, live chat, Facebook page and phone.

In turn, users can receive help in relation to anything concerning Salehoo – from how to use certain features or services on Salehoo to selecting products to sell and how to start an online business.

I also found out that Salehoo has an active forum with 137,000+ members. The forum has 60,000 posts and growing.

By posting your question on the forum, you can receive help from other experts within the hour. As a result, you can avoid mistakes usually made by first-timers.

How Much Does Salehoo Cost?

To get started with Salehoo, you have to open an account and afterward, pay an annual subscription fee of $67. This will offer you 1-year full access to Salehoo and its services.

For instance, you will enjoy access to Market Research Labs, a feature that allows you to discover products with the highest profit margins, spot hot selling trends and even find low-cost suppliers.

Is Saleehoo.com Scam Real or Not?

It’s not real. In my opinion, Salehoo is better than sourcing from a vast majority of Chinese suppliers as you may end up being duped.

For starters, you might connect with the supplier and even order a sample just to know if the supplier is genuine. Once the sample has been shipped and you get to verify the product, you will be eager to make your first order.

What you don’t know is that the so-called “supplier” was actually a con. Once you remit your payment, no products will be shipped.

Communication with the “supplier” will cease and that is how you lose your hard earned money. In addition, there is the chance of getting counterfeit goods.

With Salehoo, you don’t have to worry about being conned by listed suppliers. This is because of Salehoo reviews and verifies each supplier before allowing him or her to create a profile on the platform and promote his or her products.

Other benefits that I noted include world-class education for new and upcoming online retailers, 24/7 customer support, access to an online members community and access to Market Research Labs.

Final Opinion: Is Salehoo.com a Scam?

Salehoo is a genuine e-commerce platform where wholesalers and suppliers can list their products and also where online retailers can find low priced products to sell at a profit.

In addition, it is a platform where online sellers can connect with genuine suppliers selling genuine products that you can trust.

Overall, Salehoo is great for upcoming online retailers who don’t mind paying the annual subscription fee of $67 and who desire to create an online retail business.
