Maximiles Review: It Is Legit Or Scam?

Maximiles Review: Another Rewards-Based Shopping Portal

Admit it or not, we spend an inordinate amount of time browsing the internet. Sometimes we shop. Sometimes we just browse for the heck of it, not really having a goal in mind. Now, what if I tell you that you can actually get paid for some of the activities you do online? That’s what this platform MaxiMiles is all about. It can help you earn money doing things you’re already doing for free.

But before you sign up for this service, it’s best that you understand what you’re getting into. It’s important that you have a full understanding of what this platform is. Only after you’ve read my reviews should you decide whether this program is for you or not. Let’s proceed.

What Exactly Is Maximiles?

Maximiles is the UK’s largest rewards-based shopping platform. It currently boasts over two million members that regularly receive rewards in exchange for the points they have collected by means of online shopping, answering surveys, and other activities that you normally do on the internet.

Maximiles is more or less similar to any rewards-based shopping platform. The only real difference is the amount of brands that is part of Maximiles catalog. They have over 600 participating major brands that would give you access to hundreds of thousands of free reward points.

If you are already buying products from different brands, why not just choose a brand that is affiliated with Maximiles so you can earn a reward point that you otherwise wouldn’t have? That is the idea behind all the rewards-based shopping platform. After all, it really does makes sense if you think about it. Today, we’re going to review the inner workings of this site to see if it is worth your time and money. Are there any downsides to using this program at all? If there is, I will be happy to inform you what are those.

How To Join Maximiles?

Maximiles is a free-to-join platform that will give you 125 points as a bonus for registering. The sign-up process is pretty simple and straightforward. Just like any other sign-up, you will need to provide your name, date of birth, postal code, and other general information about yourself. To maximize the points you will receive, you can subscribe to both ‘surveys’ and ‘Maximail’ which would net you 25 points each. Once you’ve filled out your profile, you can agree to the conditions and you’re all set.

Take note that only residents from the UK, Span, France, and Italy can join this platform. If you are outside these countries, you’re in no luck but there are rumors of this company expanding their reach worldwide. Depending on your country, you will have different sign-up pages but all of them require that you are at least 18 years old.

How Does Maximiles Pay You?

You can choose over 300 gift cards to get your earnings from. They don’t exclusively offer gift cards as payments but those are their main form of payment at the moment. You can opt for other payment options like music, books, movies, or beauty products if you so choose. But before you can do all that, remember that you will need to have at least 2,000 points or more.

Here’s the ugly part of it all thought – it could take up to 60 days for the points to be reflected upon your account. Yikes! That’s quite a long time to get the rewards. Can you imagine going for 2 months without getting anything in return for your efforts? If yes, then you would have no problem with their policy right here, but speaking for myself, I find it pretty egregious to have a processing time that long. 30-day processing time is already stretching it but 60 days, that’s just a bad move overall.

Honest Opinions About Maximiles

If you search online about Maximiles, you will read mostly positive reviews. For all intents and purposes, they look to be a really good company. But a company this big isn’t immune to complaints and I have found quite a few complaints in my research. I will only list the things that I’ve read over and over again in my research of the program.

  • No cash option

Some members would actually prefer getting their rewards as cash so they can spend the money any way they want to and not be limited to getting gift cards for brands they don’t really use. I can imagine that *majority* of users would want to have this option but no. They currently do have this option which is such a shame. For a company this big, exchanging gift cards for actual cash shouldn’t be so hard but this is the direction they decide to go. Perhaps they want their users to keep coming back to the brands they’re affiliated with. That’s the only reason I think they are so adamant in this setup.

  • Survey opportunities are few and far in between

It will only take you a couple of minutes browsing their survey section to notice the lack of survey opportunities there. It’s not their biggest reward-getter but it’s still not a good look for a reward site to have that little survey opportunity. If you are interested in better survey providers, you should check out these companies instead – SwagBucks, Survey Junkie, Paid Survey UK, and many more.

  • It takes a while to rack up points

You can only make so many points in this platform until you lose your patience. It would be okay if you can redeem your points easily but as it stands, you would need at least 2000 points before you can do anything useful. How much time you spend before you can earn 2000 points varies by a lot but from what I gathered, it would take you months before you earn this much reward. By that time, most of the users already lost the interest.

Conclusion – Is Maximiles Legit Or Scam?

Maximiles is a legit platform. However, there are far too many cons for it to be considered a worthwhile endeavor. You can find many better alternatives on the internet. It’s just a shame that beyond all their claims of a rewarding platform is just a product that is barely worth your time.

Granted, you can still use this program if you want to. Just make sure that you have an ample amount of patience because the 60-day wait is far too long. That’s two months of waiting for the rewards. And because of the 2000-point point threshold, it’s likely that it would take you more than 2 months to withdraw your rewards. If you are okay with these issues, then go ahead and try the program.

However, if you want a more fulfilling kind of gig, you should look into affiliate marketing. I’ve reviewed hundreds of programs in the past. If you have the time, you can see my reviews here.
