What Is World Financial Group All About?

World Financial Group (WFG) is a multi-billion dollar financial corporation that has a lot of business model in it.

They are situated in Johns Creek, Georgia which in Atlanta. They are now operating around Puerto Rico, the United States and Canada.

The company initially kicks off as World Marketing Alliance (WMA) back in 1991 by the founder Hubert Humphrey.

At the time of this review, they are also happened to be listed with the Better Business Bureau and have the highest rating possible, an A+. BBB ranks companies on F to A+ scale, WFG’s rank is an excellent rating. Receiving an A+ from the Better Business Bureau is a sign of a very trustworthy company.

They are basically the combination of a financial business and Network Marketing. The company supports huge networks of distributors and recruits people.

Here’s a Quick Video on WFG

They (World Fanancial Group) are similar to other Multi-level marketing companies such as:

Amway

Four Corners Alliance Group

ACN

Pyur Global

They are involved in a quite number of financial institutes and various products which are: They include:

  • Financial Needs Analysis
  • Annuities
  • Variable Universal Life Insurance
  • Investment Advisory Services
  • Life Insurance
  • Mutual Funds
  • Mortgage
  • Business Solutions
  • College/Post-Secondary Education Funding

What Will You Be Doing Once You Join?

First, you will want to sign up with them and pay the buy-in fee to receive your startup kit then World Financial Group will turn you into its customer.

That’s why a lot of people consider WFG a pyramid scheme. On the surface, it is hard to tell the difference between a legitimate MLM and a pyramid scheme since both built on recruiting business model.

A legitimate MLM is focused on selling products and services, not recruiting more salespeople.

If you are just starting out in the network marketing, you will want to make sure that the products being sold have real value at the competitive price. So you will make real money.

In the case of WFG, I see the products are of high quality. I learned many things about financial stuff when I was with them. However, I didn’t like their sales rep aggressive recruiting practice.

I brought in new members but it was quite hard to retain them because my upline was quite aggressive. They claim that when you bring people into the business, you will earn point or commission on them. However, it wasn’t as easy they said.

If you want to succeed with them, you do not only have to bring others on board, but you also have to focus on selling the company’s products.

This signifies that they employ new associates to sell their financial products and recruiting other people to join the company in the process.

Here’s a Short Video on the Complan

This compensation plan promises representative by telling them they will gain by the sales of their products and services and also the people under them.

Yes, you may earn from your downline (people below you) but a large part of such earning still goes to your upline (people who refer you).

So, your commission that the representative gets from their various sales with World Financial Group is a lot less than what they will earn if they get to sell such products or services on their own.

As a newbie, you have to be wary of upline who tries to sell you the various services by flaunting their personal wealth. Most of the time, this is farther from the truth.

What I Liked About World Financial Group

  • Financial Education-  They actually invest in financial education which is a very good thing because schools never teach that.
  • The commissions are paid out twice a week for U.S and Canada associates, but one per week for associates in Puerto Rico.
  • You will get various training tools and supports.
  • You have a variety of programs to choose from to promote.
  • You will get a lot of incentives and free trips around the world.

What I Didn’t Like About World Financial Group

  • Encouraging their representative to sell to their loved ones.
  • They always say you don’t have a financial education even if you have.
  • The true nature of the business model is mostly concealed from you most of the times.
  • More of the commission you get, go to your agent.
  • A lot of people are brought into the business and just focus on recruiting.
  • It involves a lot of sales and recruiting tactics which requires heavy sales and recruiting practices.
  • Some training on how these financial concepts work in few and far between.
  • You must find someone who knows all these financial concepts and it probably is not your marketing director.
  • Their insurance policies are too complex for most of the clients and for most agents to explain.
  • No income disclosure is giving for what you will earn when you join.

World Financial Group Complaints

Well, here is the part of the review you’ve all be waiting for. In this section, I’ll reveal the ugly truth behind WFG so you can decide whether the company is safe or a scam.

Unprofessional Agents

The most common complaint about WFG is their agressive agents. A few years back, one of their agents came to my house and forced me to buy the life insurance policies.

We all know that we don’t like a salesperson barking ‘Buy now or the offer is off the table’. This kind of selling tactics alienate potential clients than earn their trust.

This kind of pressure can antagonize customers and negatively change the perception of the entire organization.

In my opinion, they don’t need aggressive reps to sell their financial services. All they do need is more assertive reps that have real people skills.

Poor Customer Technical  Service

Everything on their official website is all automated and there is no live customer support.

There is not even any group chat function where you can get a live from support personel or to reach a live person directly. Some say they could not reach anyone on the phone.

Who is World Financial Group Made For?

This is for anyone that is willing to learn a lot of financial stuff and can do well with multi-level marketing.

There is a ton of financial concepts to read, so if you join, you’ll have plenty to keep up busy. Beginners are definitely from these financial stuff.

You will be making money from selling their financial services as well as recruiting others.

Keep in mind that the success rate of any sorts of MLM programs has historically been very low because it typically takes 2- 4 years to reach any type of decent monthly income.

You will need 5000-10,000 reps in your downline to produce sufficient group monthly volume to achieve a 5 figures monthly income.

Guess what? There is no quick way to add 5000 people to your downline. You need to rely on team duplication within your downline and that takes time to build.

For complete newbies with very little people skills, I recommend you to check out My Top Work-at-Home program here. It is one stop for everything about making money from home.

What About Their Training Tools

World Financial Group offers various kind of training tools support and a variety of video tutorial about financial education.

However, most of the time you will get trained and mentored by your upline. You will receive regular conference calls and webinars from top WFG field leaders.

If you qualify for their Leadership Network, you will be invited on an exclusive trip to New York City where you get to spend one-on-one time with some of the company’s best leaders.

What Is The Cost Of Joining World Financial Group?

The entry fee is about $100. It may cost between $500 to $1000 for their products and services to be licensed to you.

You will have to go through their registration process and take a various examination to get started with them. If you can afford that, why not give it a try it.

Others fees are the life licensed which is $30 and investment adviser which cost about $125.

Final Thought: Is World Financial Group A Scam?

World Financial Groups isn’t a scam, in fact, you actually get a lot of value from their financial concepts and services. Overall, I was surprised by the quality of their system and would recommend it for a good ground in financial education.

However, I don’t quite agree with they say one of their goals is spreading financial intelligence to people who need.

The issue is that World Financial Group Representatives take advantage of this to make money which is opposite to what they claim they will give you.

Due to this tactic, a good number of people brought on board have termed World Financial Group a Scam. But this company is involved in brokers of all sort of good products, so in a sense, they are not a scam.

World Financial Group in my own opinion is a recruiting scam. Many people are brought in under various false promises. Because the actual fact about the business won’t be revealed to you until you are a representative.

Their compensation plan is very exploitative to every new associate. If I were you I will avoid the World Financial Group like a plague.

An Alternative

I had been involved in the Multilevel Marketing Business (World Financial Group include ) both in the U.S and abroad for about 10 years.

I used to think that MLM was the only way for me to get out of the rat race until I found an actual way for me to create my own.

A couple years ago, I gave up the Direct Marketing and joined a training platform where they offer step by step training that teaches you how to set up your own business.

Ideal for newbies. You can join for free and often within a few days, you will have your own website and will have probably learned more than is possible with World Financial Group.

  1. Hi! This is a great article- very informative. It’s good to know that this company isn’t a scam as there are already a lot out there. I think a few have been shut down in the past few years. I do agree that we all need financial education. I do, however, think that there are better ways to acquire the knowledge besides joining WFG.

    Thanks for the info!

    • Hi, thank for sharing your opinion about World Financial Group. I totally agree with you. I had been worked with this company before some financial concepts are high quality, but some are out dated. Another thing is- it is depends on your up line if he or she is really familiar. with financial concepts.

  2. So is world financial group a network marketing business? It sounds like it to me. I agree with you about not liking how you are supposed to sell to your loved ones. The alternative you provide seems like such a better option. However, why is it called “direct marketing?” Would you mind explaining that for me? Thank you!

    • Hi,Neil,
First of all, thanks for stopping!
World Financial Group is solid company. I like the way they offer financial education. My only issue is the business opportunity is based on recruiting model. Recruiting is hard if you’re not have people’s skill. The market is also quite tough. You’ll need to put in a lot of time and effort to make this work for you.
That’s why I prefer affiliate marketing.
Directing market, in simple words it is a mouth to mouth marketing. Always you have to open your mouth. Talk, talk and then talk…
      BTW, thanks leaving a comment.
      All the best!

  3. The company is a straight up scam. They barely do any product trainings and instead teach their recruits how to lie. They push everyone and anyone to purchse an IUL, a super expensive life insurance policy where a high percentage lapse within a few years because people can’t keep up with the payments and high hidden costs associated with it. They misrepresent the IUL as a superior investment product that is better than stocks, 401k, etc. Where people won’t lose their money.

First of all, thanks for stopping by and share your opinion!
I agree with you to some extents, but in my opinion, the company is not a scam. I get involved in the program before and bought some financial products.
The products are actually good, the only thing that put me off was they were not open up with everything and their agents were very aggressive.
As you mention in the comment, it very hard to keep up with a monthly payment that is the truth. I’m also don’t think IUL is better than stocks because I started investing in stock and 401K since 2009.
BTW, thank for leaving a comment.
      Wish you all the best!

    • Not true at all. I’m currently in WFG and there is plenty of training and preparation to become successful. It is up to you to make it work. You take what is worth and you throw away the rest. This business is not for everybody. If you don’t make it…. it is not for you. . Not a scam……..

  4. I like your approach. Say some good and some bad things about WFG and then you promote your business. Very smooth….Are you not also recruiting now that you promoted your business? Everybody recruits to grow nothing wrong with that. I love WFG because of the value we bring. Yes there are some bad agents but does that mean every WFG agent is bad? There are bad teachers, doctors, politicians, etc. Reviews are good but they can be extremely biased. WFG changed my life and my families lives not only with good products but with the opportunity.

I am agree with you because some agents are very good. The company is also decent. The only put me off is that some agent use aggressive recruiting practice. Apart from that, everything is just fine. I gained so much financial knowledge from WFG.
I am happy to hear about WFG change your life and your families lives.
      Wish you all the best!

  5. Hi Guys Here to give an update i last posted here in 2014, now 3 years later in 2017 my family that joined wfg is over 40,000$ in debt lol(last post #5576). Heres some Numbers for you . these number will not only show you that there is NO MONEY TO BE MADE IN WFG but also how stupid the people that are recruited here actually are .
#’s are from 2015 from WFG any one from WFG can confirm as they flaunt these #’s around.
commissions claimed to be paid =$732,631,483
    Licensed associates = 53,156
    new recruits =197,772

now lets do some grade 5 math shall we

average commission paid if only life licensed associates are paid = 732,631,483/53,156 = 13,782.67
so if new recruits get 0$ average commission for licensed associates is $13,782.67.

they claim to make a 6 figure income? lets go with lowest 6 figures? $100,000
if they pay $100,000 each with $732,631,483 they can pay 7326 people .
How many offices do they have in North America? just over 7000

If after this you still are unsure about WFG being a scam or not go run into a wall

    • Hi Uknwho,
Thanks for sharing your opinion with us. And also doing some math. I had been WFG member and had attended several seminars and also did conference calls. I saw a plenty of people make money with WFG.
I learned many things about setting up financial goals. The only thing is I was not good at recruiting.
      Anyways, thanks for commenting.

  6. Hi there
I’m a bit sceptical about this company. I started the training and the insurance that they want to sell me seem very tempting. The blood test is something that I’m a bit concern with.
I’ve been going to BPM and listening to webinar but seem like most of it is about personal growth and not as product in Details that the company should be selling.
I feel like I’m getting involved with something that’s not really what It seems to be.
I might be doughtful but it’s a way to protect myself.
The information I got was great as personal goals but I can’t find the link with representing the company with it. Maybe I’m missing the point.
And yes , I found that most of the goals with the company is to recruit agent instead of learning how to help people …. again a lot of question are put in my mind with this company.
Really like to know if I’m waisting my time with this and being too smart for them or just missing the point….
Honest feed back would be much appreciated
    Cheers

    • Hi Unknown,
First of all, thanks for sharing your experience with us.
I had been in your situation. I had done a blood test and took exams in the process. I had attended several seminars and even done BPM myself with my upline.
Yes, they offered great self-development seminars. After you passed the exam and got the license, you will learn about their products details. Their products are hard to understand and can be confusing if you are not familiar with this field.
To be completely honest with you, World Financial Group is a decent company. I see a lot of people are making money with them. But you will need to put in a lot of hard work to make it happens because the market is quite tough.

      Wish you all the best!

  7. Hi Maun! Thanks for this review. I`ve heard about this company before, and i am glad it wasn`t a scam. I think it`s the same thing as those MLM, and in order to be successful in it you really have to work hard and recruit others to be part of the company. But it`s purpose is good and legit, and if it works, you will really to earn money.

WFG isn’t a scam. They offer high-quality financial services that benefit everyone. However, in the case of making money with them, you will want to sell their financial products and recruit others. This is the hard part since the market out is quite tough.
