Verdict: Legit, But Not Reliable Source Of Income

Welcome to my Toluna review!

Every day, there is a new survey site claiming to help people make money online with just a little work. In the last couple of months, the “get paid to”website known as Toluna generated a lot of buzzes.

You might be curiously browsing the web, trying to see if this is another scheme aimed at getting desperate people who need money to sign up to a site that looks promising.

We all feel disappointed if what was promised wasn’t delivered, but that is different from being a scam. The worst part is the feeling of being lied to, being deceived and cheated upon.

Is Toluna a scam? Is it legit? Is it a reliable source for making an extra money from home? But the big question is, can you earn legitimately from Toluna?

Within this review, I want to explain what it is exactly that you will be getting and my ultimate opinion on whether or not you should join.

What Exactly Is A Toluna?

Toluna is one of the largest and well-known paid survey sites around today. It has been around since the year 2000 and has about million users in 62 countries.

The site is no different than other “get paid to take survey” sites such as Paid surveys and more, Survey monster, Click4Surveys, Take Survey for Cash and others.

They conduct polls and surveys for their client. Its online community consists of 4 million panelists in 40 countries and making it the first community in the world panelists.

You will give your opinion about a survey and you earn some points which can be exchanged for a reward or money. You might be hoping if Toluna could allow you be free financially or to make a few to cater to your bills.

But many people have complained that the time they invested in most of this survey is nowhere close to the reward they are getting in return.

How Does Toluna Work?

As compared to many scam survey sites that ask for a membership fee, it’s totally free to join and your credit card details won’t be needed to start taking any survey on Toluna.

Here’s a Quick Video on Toluna.

You start accumulating points as soon as you fill your profile and then by doing some few surveys sent to you. It only requires your active email and a few questionnaires that will allow them to match you with suitable surveys and panels.

You accumulate your points to be eligible for rewards and the greater the point, the more the reward you can get in return. Their various reward ranges from book tokens, clothing vouchers and much more.

If you manage to the limit to claim your rewards, you get to see various rewards to choose from.

See the screenshot below.

Mind you, you will have to accumulate up to 20,000 points in other to take to get £5 gift card. The survey sent to your email to answer is usually last about 30 minutes on the average.

What I Like About Toluna

  • Free To Join
  • User-friendly website
  • Work from Home
  • Earn extra money and reward
  • Established company
  • Available in several languages
  • Mobile and tablet friendly
  • Great community

What I Don’t Like About Toluna

  • Time-consuming
  • Hard to qualify for several surveys
  • Points are very slow to accumulate
  • Junk e-mail
  • Slow customer service
  • Insufficient training and support

Toluna Complaints- What Will Put You Off

Just like every other survey panel, while it’s free to join Toluna you will be trading your time to earn those points.

Most times you won’t be told you are not qualified to participate in the survey, but at the end of it, you get thrown out. This is nothing new because most survey sites do almost the same. This explains why most survey panel is termed scammed.

Some other complaints are that their point doesn’t accumulate as expected. The least you can claim is about 20000, but this also varies based on the country you are from.

See one of the customer complaints below from BBB.

You can also see some customers complaints on the Ripoff Report.

You will almost need to complete about 13 surveys to reach the limit to withdraw. And it takes most of your time because you need about 30 minutes to complete a single survey.

Few others complaints are a slow reward, slow customer service and point not been credited as required.

Is Toluna a Scam?

All things considered, our team concluded that Toluna isn’t a scam. They are legit. If you are just looking for a way to pass time by the survey, it is worth joining.

At the time of this review, Toluna has the highest possible Better Business Bureau, an A+. BBB ranks companies on F to A+ scale, Toluna’s rank is an excellent ranting. Receiving an A+ from BBB is a sign of a very trustworthy company.

Like other “get paid to” websites though, you will need to put in an extra effort to make a consistent income because your earning here is depending on your demographic.

Fortunately, there are other ways of earning money online. Swagbucks and Fusion Cash are good examples. You can also make part-time and full-time income with My Top Recommendation Program.

Here’s My Final Thought On Toluna

Not at all. The number one concern about an online survey company is whether or not the website is asking you to pay money in order to be a member or to get access to the survey.

Toluna is completely free to join so there is nowhere close to being a scam. It has been founded since 2000 and has millions of members at present.

Many have claimed their reward in no time while some still complain of delay reward. However, receiving your payment might take up to 2 months to be cleared by the company.

The few issues with them are various complaints from the millions of members about their slow response (which is quite understandable because of large members) and trading of your precious time for a penny.

Another major hurdle is that members get thrown out in the middle of the survey for not qualifying for such survey, after wasting most of their time.

This is why much brands them as a waste of time or scam. Apart from that, Toluna is perfect and is no scam. Can you make money Toluna?

Yes. You can make money, but I think it’s a waste of your potential. Have you made money here? How much time do you spend on it and is it worth it? If you have a realistic expectation of their site, it is perfectly nifty.

In my own opinion, if you legitimately want to earn from home online you should look into Affiliate Marketing.

This is the only program that can help anyone to earn an income from home.

  1. This is such an awesome review, the chart in particular really shows just how good Wealthy Affiliate is! Toluna doesn’t look bad, but when compared with Wealthy Affiliate it isn’t as strong.
Wonderful review, I cannot wait to read more from you, keep up the quality work,
