Is Norwex Scam? Can You Even Convince Someone To Join this Program?

Is Norwex Scam?

Welcome to my Norwex Review. You being here means that you are actively looking for additional information about this company. I am going to tell you that you are on the right path. Before you do any kind of investing, you need to have at least a brief summary of the company you’re interested in. This review will tell you exactly what this company is all about.

In order to get started, I need to tell you what type of company Norwex is. It’s an MLM company. If you’ve never heard of the term MLM, it’s a type of business that promotes selling and recruiting people to join the program. Think Avon (probably the most popular MLM company there is). I’m pretty sure you’ve been invited or at least familiar with these “new opportunities” that’s been popping up everywhere. This is one of those companies.

If you’ve been messaged out of nowhere by one of your family or friends, to which you don’t really talk to, there’s a high chance that it is an MLM company, or a “new opportunity” as they refer to it. Today, I am going to review one of these MLM companies, Norwex. Is it worth your money? Can you really earn from it? By the end of the review, you will have a good idea of what this company stands for, and if it suits what you need.

What Exactly Is Norwex?

Norwex is an MLM company founded by Bjorn Nicolaisen in 1994 in Norway. As you can see, it’s already a pretty old company, especially when compared to other rising MLM companies on the market today. The fact that it is still operating to this day adds a bit of credibility to its brand. The fact is, not a lot of MLM companies make it past the tender age of 5. That is mostly because of financial troubles and other kinds of issues that are still related to money. In any case, the fact that this company is more than two decades old speaks volumes.

This company deals with home cleaning and personal care products. The company was created because the founder, Bjorn Nicolaisen, discovered a special microfiber cloth that is extremely good at picking up dirt using nothing but water. Upon this discovery, he also developed a series of house cleaning products to tandem them with the magic fiber cloth. That is basically how Norwex was born.

Today, Norwex also sells personal care, in case you’re into that.

Norwex Product Line

As I’ve said, they started out with only one product but expanded to a whole plethora of cleaning items. They surely have added a ton of products since their inception and it doesn’t look like they have any plans of stopping any time.

Think of any household cleaning items, chances are Norwex has it, or some form of it. The only real difference between their products and the generic items is they are more focused on having their products free of harmful chemicals. They promise to be as effective, too, which is a good indication of the quality of their products.

How Good Are Their Products?

Since this is an MLM company, you are definitely going to sell their items to people you know. If you want to be a good seller, you need to have 100% trust in your product, and I’m here to tell you about their products. Are they worth it? Or are they as good as advertised?

Norwex has some standard items that you will see anywhere but what makes it unique compared to its counterparts is the “chemical-free” tag that comes with it. They claim to have developed ways to decrease the toxicity of their cleaning items using some innovative methods. Are these claims true?

In my research, there are definitely some merits to their claim. They even have a dedicated page wherein they explain how their products work. In my opinion, their products are legit and is actually worth your money.

What Is Their Compensation Plan?

Their compensation plan is similar to most MLM companies. You sell an item and you get a commission. If you want an even bigger commission, you need to recruit people to sell items for you. On top of that, you will also get a commission from their sales. In the same vein, your recruiter would get a commission from your total sales.

To become a consultant or a distributor, you will need to pay $200 upfront. This package includes all training materials along with some marketing modules to help you get started. You will earn 35% of all your sales, which is pretty respectable. However, you need to take note that most of their products are overpriced especially when compared to their generic counterparts. They have several tiers of discounts. If you are able to move a large batch of products per month, you will be given a higher discount.

Above is their compensation plan. The video offers a broader explanation of their products along with their compensation plan.

How To Market Norwex Products?

What makes it somewhat unique from the other MLM companies is they have these home parties wherein you would need to invite your family and friends to “present” your products. You will be given this elaborate marketing plan that you need to show them in order to get them to buy into the program.

First of all, that strategy has now worked since its inception in the 1990s. Avon was the first to do this, and Mary Kate is keeping the tradition alive. Well, you can sell your friends and families some product but that would almost always be a result of peer pressure. If you are okay with using your relationship as leverage to get them to buy items, then maybe this marketing gimmick is for you.

Honest Opinion On Norwex

  • Misleading Claims

While they have certainly improved upon microfiber design, their claim of “it removes up to 99% of bacteria with just water” is straight-up false. You can’t remove 99% of germs using water. The fact is it only removes dirt and stains, the obvious parts, and not the germs that are on the surface.

If their 99% bacteria removal is true, then that would mean that you could forego using soap altogether since it will remove 99% of the germs, too, but the truth is, it doesn’t do that.

  • False Starter Kit Claims

They usually say on their promotion that you can get their Starter Kit for Free. However, what they don’t tell you is you can only get that for free if you buy $2,000 worth of items. If you don’t, you would need to pay $200 for the right to sell their products. This is by design. They deliberately withheld that information so they can lure you into their website.

  • Outdated Marketing Methods

The Home Party marketing strategy has been phased out in the early 2000s. The fact that this company still encourages its users to conduct home parties for their product is almost an insult to the industry.

  • They Have Good Products

Apart from the obviously misleading claims I’ve written above, their products are surprisingly good. If you want a cleaning agent or any cleaning material, you can’t go wrong with selecting their items. Their products work as advertised, at least at the superficial level.

  • They Are Focused More On Moving Their Products

A good sign that an MLM will last on the industry is if they are focused on their items instead of recruitment. In my experience with this company, it seems like they are more product-oriented compared to others. This is a good sign. It’s no surprise that they have lasted more than 20 years in this difficult industry. That speaks volumes to the quality of their products.

Conclusion – Is Norwex Scam?

So, to answer the question – Is Norwex Scam?

No, it isn’t.

It’s one of the oldest MLM companies in the world. That speaks volumes. The fact that it kept up with the newer MLM companies makes it a great company, period. However, there are some questionable decisions when it comes to their marketing gimmicks. They are still recommending house parties to get their items promoted. While this was an effective method in the 90s, it rarely works now. Most of the promotion or marketing that is done today is by way of online. Today, if you want to promote a product, you most certainly need to market it on the internet. Fail to do so and your product will fail.

If you are interested in doing MLM, this company is a good place to start. Its reputation and credibility are its main pull for its users.

However, if you are looking for another opportunity that isn’t MLM, you should look into this program that I’ve been using for the past few years. I’ve heard nothing but good feedback about it from the people I recommended it to. I’ve put down the link down below if you are interested.
