What Is Capital One Investing All About?

Capital One Investing is a brokerage firm that offers Advice, Stocks, Options, Automatic Investing, PortfolioBuilder. They are specializing in bonds, stocks, options, mutual funds, ETF’s, and similar financial instruments. It is not a bank.

It all starts with Capital One Financial acquired ShareBuilder, an online broker offering a host of investments services, including an automatic investing plan.

I was incredibly wary when Capital One Financial acquired ShareBuilder in 2012. I thought they would completely change everything and I might get a loss on a new investing platform, but it turns out that the new platform was one of my favorite.

In January 2015, they were renamed ShareBuilder to Capital One Investing, taking full effect in June 2015. Now, Capital One Investing becomes one of an online broker offering a host of investments services, including an automatic investing plan.

There are over 400 mutual funds and over 7,000 stocks and ETF’s available with Capital One.
