Is Barefoot Writer Club Scam?

Barefoot Writer Club

Product Name: Barefoot Writer Club

Rating: 5.2 out of 10

Verdict: Speaking in terms of money-making, Barefoot Writer doesn’t seem like it has the capacity to help you earn money to the level that it claims. You’re better off looking for other writing alternatives over the internet.

Many people would say that writing articles online is the safest way to make money. It’s always in demand and practically anyone can write, on varying levels, of course. Now, the question is whether article writing can provide you a consistent amount of income when you only do it on the side. I am to answer that here.

But first, if you want to learn one of the better ways to make money online, you should check out affiliate marketing. It’s one of the best ways to make money online. It’s literally what made Amazon the giant that it is today. If you want to learn how to do effective affiliate marketing, you can check how I do it here – my recommendation.

Now, back to this review. The name of the product that we’re going to review today is Barefoot Writer Club. As the name suggests, it is a writing website. However, you are mistaken if you think this is a ‘freelance’ website. It’s not, and that’s what we are going to check out for today.

Here’s the full review.

What Exactly Is Barefoot Writer Club?

Technically speaking, Barefoot Writer Club isn’t a website that will directly help you earn money. It does it indirectly by teaching you ways to become a better writer. It’s like a training guide for aspiring writers to help them improve their game and become a productive freelance writer.

Apart from the training and guides, you can also score writing gigs sparingly. That mostly depends on your skills since the competition here is fierce and they are only giving out writing gigs to the best of the bests. The standout can also be given an opportunity to become a writer for their magazine, so keep that in mind.

But for the most part, this website is all about providing information about being a professional freelance writer – how to jumpstart your career in it. If that’s the type of information you’re after, you will find this website very helpful.

What Are The Claims Of Barefoot Writer Club?

To start off, they claim to help their users to be able to earn thousands of dollars from doing freelance jobs. The figure they dangle is actually pretty hefty with claims of six-figure dollar income per year. Yes, that kind of income.

They actually have a lot of big claims that mirrors that of small get rich quick scheme websites. Some of their most blatant claims are:

  • 15 minutes a day earns $4,500 a month
  • Founder of the club earns $300k/year without prior writing experience
  • A single piece of writing can earn you about $15,000 – $55,000

In the next sections of this article, I am going to go over these claims one by one to check their validity. Truth be told, I am not that optimistic about these claims because they sound too good to be true. And my stance on that has always been if it’s too good to be true, then it probably is.

How Can You Become A Member?

Becoming a member is actually subscription-based. If you want to “unlock” the secret to becoming a freelance writer, you should be willing to pay about $108/year on subscription fee. They promise to give you access to tons of information about writing that would almost guarantee your success.

Now, is this subscription worth it? That’s what we are here to find out. If you consider that every claim they have is true, then the $108/year price tag doesn’t seem too much to be honest. But that’s the thing, what if none of their claims are true?

In the next section, we are going to look into their claims to help you make the decision.

Are There Any Truths To Barefoot Writer Club’s Claims?

Before I start with the rundown of these claims, I must first disclose how I found out about this company. That should give you an idea of how this company does its marketing.

I was made aware of this program through a spam email with the headline being something like “Learn how to earn through freelance writing.” Nothing really jumps out so I ignored it. Fast forward a few days and I got it as an ad on a website I was browsing. It got me curious, hence, the review.

Most of their claims can be summarized into one single statement – they can help you make a killing as a freelance writer if you subscribe to their $108/year plan. Now, nothing is wrong about this statement. You can make good money by writing articles. However, what’s wrong is they almost guarantee your success by using words like “15 minutes = $4,500″

This is a classic sales pitch that many bogus products use to lure in people into their programs. As far as I can tell, they don’t really have proof of their users being able to earn as much. What they have are only their words.

What I Like About Barefoot Writer Club

  • If you absolutely do not have a clue of where to start your freelance writing career, Barefoot Writer Club would seem like a good starting point. It can provide you with a wealth of knowledge that you can use to get ahead of the competition.
  • If you are doing well with your writing progress, you can even apply to become a writer for their magazine. There isn’t that much information on how much they pay their writers but writing for a magazine seems like a good start to any writing career.

What I Don’t Like About Barefoot Writer Club

  • Once you get inside their member’s page, your idea of this program being free would fly out the window almost immediately. They have too many upsells. Their regular pricing is $108/year but can go substantially higher if you opt for all their add-ons.
  • Another thing that’s noticeable is their use of misleading claims. It’s as if they are guaranteeing that all of their members would earn six figures, which really isn’t possible. To be fair, all companies are guilty of overhyping their products. Barefoot Writer Club seems to do it a few notches higher than what is tolerable.
  • Another thing that has bugged me about this product is their website is hard to navigate. If for some reason, you want to become a member, you would have to wade through all their misleading registration links. And when you actually come to find the right link, you will be redirected into this site (see below).

The Verdict – Is Barefoot Writer Club A Scam?

No. Barefoot Writer Club is not a scam.

However, this product is not for everyone. I can only think of very few people that would benefit from this product since it’s mainly just a niche. If you do not have any freelance writing experience, then sure, this product might help you. But then again, there’s just too many resources on the internet that are free.

This product would cost you $108/year for basically what is a general lesson in writing articles. If you think that is fair pricing, then go ahead and be a member. Personally, I wouldn’t pay that much. Maybe I’d consider it more if it’s a one-time payment but as it stands, it’s hard to justify the pricing.

Speaking in terms of money-making, Barefoot Writer doesn’t seem like it has the capacity to help you earn money to the level that it claims. You’re better off looking for other writing alternatives over the internet.
