Verdict: It’s a legitimate company that can help you make money as long as you understand what dropshipping is all about. It’s a bit pricey but the potential is there.
In today’s review, we are going to look into dropshipping. It’s a blossoming industry that’s quickly becoming the choice of many when it comes to earning money online. Of course, there’s still that giant affiliate marketing which is probably your best choice of making money online. But suffice it to say, dropshipping is quickly gaining popularity amongst online businessmen.
So, what’s drop shipping exactly?
Dropshipping is basically selling an item without the item in your warehouse. You’re basically going to forward the order to another company that stores the items. Your only task is to secure the sale. Once the purchase is made, the details of the buyer will be forwarded to a third party where they’re the ones who will deliver the product.
In short, you don’t have to deal with product handling, making it a lucrative business for marketers. You don’t have to have your own stock. As I’ve said before, your only problem would be how to sell the product because once you do, you’re all set.
The company that we’re going to review today is called Inventory Source. It’s one of the biggest dropshipping companies in the world today. We’re going to check if their services are good and compare it to other giants of the industry. If you’re going to do dropshipping, might as well do it right, yes?

They are not the biggest dropshipping company in the market but they belong in the top 10, which is saying something since there have been a lot of dropshipping companies popping into existence ever since this industry surged in popularity.
All dropshipping companies basically function the same. Each company will have a list of things you can sell. For this company, you can browse all the items that you can sell. All you have to do is register, which is free. However, you can’t sell anything if you are not a member.
How To Become A Partner Merchant?
To become a member, you must get a subscription fee for $99/month.
But if you just want to see a list of items that you can sell, you can just register for free. This is a good thing because you can see all the items and evaluate the potential before you dive into the program.
If you think that you will have a hard time selling the items you see in there, then, by all means, search for an alternative. But I must say that this is indeed a great feature. This allows you to assess if this program is indeed worth that subscription fee.
How Much Is Inventory Source Membership Fee?
The basic package will cost you $99/month.

As you can see, there are 3 main options that you can choose to. There are subcategories though. This means that your subscription fee can be higher than $150. Basically, the larger your operation is, the more expensive your subscription fee will be.

Inventory Source is compatible with plenty of platforms like Shopify, Zen Cart, Joomla, Yahoo Stores, WordPress, and many more. Whatever website build you may be using, there’s a high chance that it is compatible with Inventory Source, making it easier to process your orders.
Customer Support
Their customer support is 24/7 which you can reach through by phone, email, and support ticket through their website. No matter what your issues are with this product, you know that you are one click away from solving them.
What I Like About Inventory Source
There’s a lot to like about this company. It’s a dropshipping company which means that it is still a fairly new service but so far, their services are streamlined which gives off the impression that this company has been out for quite some time.
Inventory Source offers hundreds of suppliers and merchants that you can choose to become your partner. Each merchant has thousands of products at their disposal. In turn, this gives you access to millions of different items, practically.
Another thing that I like about Inventory Source is you can view all the items for free. All you have to do is to become a member. This is like getting a free trial, which is always welcomed.
Syncing orders and inventory is another feature that separates this company from other newcomers. This feature gives you a better view of how your company is doing. It’s like analytics but for your products.
What I Don’t Like About Inventory Source
Their basic plan only allows you to link one supplier to your sales channel. If you want to add additional suppliers, you will have to pay an additional fee, $50 for the first additional supplier, $30 for the second, and so on, and so forth.
If you have several suppliers that you want to add to your channel, you will have to fork in several dollars more on top of the subscription fee.
Another thing that this company lags behind its competition is the research tools. As of the time of this writing, their research tool is a bit wonky, almost non-existent. There is no way for you to scout your competition or gauge the potential of the suppliers by checking out their analytic scores.
The Verdict – Is Inventory Source Worth It?
Dropshipping is quickly becoming an attractive choice for many reasons I’ve already discussed plenty of times in the sections above.
But make no mistake, you still have to work hard for your dropshipping endeavor to become profitable. Don’t give in to this idea that because dropshipping doesn’t require you to handle the product, it’s going to be easy work – it’s not!
That being said, Inventory Source is a good dropshipping company, no doubt. Will it be worth it? Well, that depends on you. If you are willing to put in the work and actually study the program, you will make money.
I have to say though that the monthly fee is going to hurt your wallet a bit especially if you are just starting out. But once you get your website running, you can easily earn that money back in no time.

Now, if you feel like dropshipping isn’t for you, why not go to the grandfather of online money-making and check out affiliate marketing. It functions the same as dropshipping with some minor changes. I would even argue that the dropshipping idea came directly from affiliate marketing.
